Habilitation at the Faculty of Science
The habilitation is formal proof of the ability to represent a academic subject independently in both research and teaching (teaching qualification). It is a prerequisite for the award of a venia legendi (authorisation to teach). The subject areas in which a habilitation is possible within the Faculty of Science, and the details of the procedure, are set out in the Habilitation Regulations and in the Amendment to the Habilitation Regulations (31 March 2021).
