Quality Improvement Commission in the Faculty of Science
The faculty forms a commission for quality improvement in teaching and learning in each of the four teaching and research units of the faculty (Chemistry; Nutrition, Consumption and Health; Physics and Sports Science) in order to perform the tasks in accordance with §§ 3 and 4 of the law for improving the quality of teaching and learning at North Rhine-Westphalian universities (Study Quality Act) in the currently valid version. The composition is defined in §14 of the Faculty Regulations:
- one representative from the group of university lecturers
- one representative from the group of academic staff and one representative from the group of technical and administrative staff
- four representatives from the group of students
- The Dean of Studies of the Faculty is a non-voting but advisory member of each of these four committees. The commission can be supplemented by further advisory members without voting rights
