The Research Reserve is a fund specifically intended to support early-career researchers in the Faculty of Science. Members of this status group (postdocs, leaders of early-career research groups, junior professors, candidates for a habilitation who do not hold a permanent post) are expressly encouraged to submit applications for start-up funding (equipment and staff costs) and travel support by the next deadline – usually 31 March of the current year. Applications for support for conference travel may also be submitted by PhD students.
